- A Yoruba subethnic group historically living in several towns within the vicinity of the Ọ̀yọ́ empire, they now mainly live in the town of Abẹ́òkúta in Ògùn State, Nigeria. While they are often regarded as the Ẹ̀gbá Òwu, they are distinct from the Ẹ̀gbá people.
- A Yoruba dialect spoken by the Òwu people
